The 2012 Brown Forum – Economic Opportunities at the Municipal Level

On April 2-3, municipal and local government and business leaders from the region and the U.S. gathered at the Brown Forum in Opatija, Croatia to discuss how local entities can promote economic growth, provide support to local businesses and market a municipality’s resources and benefits to potential investors.

The Ron Brown Apprentice – You’re Hired!

The Public Affairs Section of the U.S Embassy in Zagreb invited university students from Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Montenegro to tackle the question: “What business would you open and why?“ in a unique competition named The Ron Brown Apprentice. Students from the region submitted over 50 business plans, and 13 of them were brought to Opatija to compete during The Brown Forum.
